One Year!
June marks the 1-year anniversary of my monthly newsletter- I trust you are enjoying and learning something new with each of them- I love feedback- let me know if there’s a health issue or concern that you’d like to explore more together.
Do you know what Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy is- And why it works?
In this month’s newsletter, I’ve reprised some some of my previous writings to introduce or re-introduce you to Craniosacral therapy.
Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy (BCST) is a gentle hands-on session for the whole body. Performed on a massage table, the client remains fully clothed, and the practitioner’s touch is light and calm. BCST supports the inherent health of the whole being, starting with the nervous system and fascia.
BCST works with the cerebrospinal fluids, fascia, and central nervous system for gentle repositioning and balancing of tensions and asymmetries. In babies and children, these may be due to womb position or delivery. In both babies and adults, BCST can release the compression of the nerves as they exit the skull and spinal cord. BCST is also useful for releasing tension in the jaw and neck muscles, allowing the vagus nerve (Cranial Nerve X) to relax, and reduce stomach problems including reflux in babies.
