Recovery from Long Covid Through Peace, Stability, and Ease
Dear friends,
I understand how overwhelming it can feel at times, and I want you to know that you are not alone in this journey. Whether you are struggling with fatigue, brain fog, or simply trying to keep up with daily responsibilities, please know that I am here to support you as you move forward, one step at a time.
Over the past years, I have witnessed the courage and resilience of clients who, despite persistent symptoms and no clear path to recovery, continue to seek new ways to restore balance and well-being in their lives. Witnessing their determination has inspired me to continue to explore how to best support their journey using Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST).
BCST offers gentle and therapeutic support for those with Long Covid and auto-immune disorders. Through nurturing touch and attuned presence, BCST helps to release tension and reconnect you with your inner resources, even when other approaches have not brought relief.
BCST offers a safe and comforting refuge, nurturing your sense of well-being and promoting deep relaxation and renewal for those navigating the challenges of Long Covid.
Long Covid: A Landscape of Uncertainty
Long Covid may have a single cause, but it’s not a single experience—it is a tapestry of symptoms that can include fatigue, brain fog, headaches, muscle pain, shortness of breath, and a profound sense of disorientation and disconnection from who we were before.
Many come into my practice sharing a deep sense of frustration: wanting to move forward yet feeling held back by their own bodies. For some, even daily activities feel overwhelming, and the path to healing can feel like one step forward and two steps back.
In my practice, I see how the lingering effects of Long Covid radiate out through the nervous system, leaving the body in a state of heightened alert and deep exhaustion.
This is where gentle, supportive therapies can make a difference—not by “fixing” the problem, but by creating space for the body’s own wisdom to emerge and guide the healing process.
The Gentle Power of Craniosacral Therapy
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance. Through gentle and nurturing touch, we invite the nervous system to settle, encouraging a shift from survival mode into a state of rest and repair.
For those living with Long Covid and other immune-related disorders, this can mean experiencing moments of deep relaxation, improved sleep, and a renewed sense of hope—even when the journey is gradual.
I often remind clients that healing is not linear. Each session is an invitation to listen—without judgment—to the body’s signals. Over time, these gentle moments help reestablish a sense of safety and connection, supporting the body’s innate capacity for resilience and adaptation.
Long Covid and Vascular Inflammation
Emerging research suggests that vascular inflammation plays a significant role in the symptoms experienced by those with Long Covid. Inflammation of the endothelium, the lining of the blood vessels, contributes to fatigue, cognitive difficulties, and chronic pain.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, with its focus on calming the nervous system and supporting the body’s natural rhythms, helps reduce this inflammation by improving circulation and increasing ease throughout the vascular system.
During a session, the therapeutic touch used in craniosacral therapy helps the body enter a parasympathetic state—often referred to as “rest and digest.” This state supports the reduction of cortisol and other stress hormones that allow the body to focus on the repair and healing of inflamed tissues.
By creating an environment where the body feels safe and supported, Craniosacral Therapy can soothe vascular inflammation, offering another pathway toward relief and recovery for those living with Long Covid and auto-immune disorders.
Somatic Reflection: Listening to What Remains
- I invite you to pause for a moment and notice what you feel in your body right now.
- Where do you feel tension? Where is there ease? Is there someplace in your body calling your attention?
- If you are experiencing ongoing symptoms, can you find a place of comfort—however small—within yourself?
- Perhaps you might place a hand gently on your heart or belly and notice the warmth of your own touch.
- With each breath, allow yourself to sense not just what is difficult, but also what remains steady and supportive within you.
